Climb Smarter

Our Class Lineup

Whether you're taking your first steps on the wall or looking to refine your technique, our classes are designed to help you progress.

Bouldering 101

13+ years (youth) & adults Book class by class

Bouldering 101 is led by an experienced technical climber who teaches you how to actually move on the wall, rather than leaving you to work it out by pulling harder. It's for adults and aspiring young climbers alike, whether you've never touched a hold or you've been climbing a while and know your technique is holding you back.

What you’ll learn

  • Correct climbing technique on the wall
  • The core bouldering skills — footwork, body position, balance
  • How to read a problem before you pull on
  • The confidence to get on something that looks too hard

Led by an experienced technical climber

$28.00 · 60 min

Classes run in 10-week blocks, but there's no commitment — book a single class whenever it suits you.

Grip Squad

13+ years 10-week program

Grip Squad is a 10-week program led by an experienced rock climber, built for young climbers who are past the basics and want to level up. It's the class to take if you're aiming at climbing competitions, or you want to break into the top grades in the gym.

What you’ll learn

  • Movement — climbing efficiently on problems that fight back
  • Technique that holds up when the grade goes up
  • Training: building the strength climbing actually asks for
  • Recovery, so you can train hard without breaking yourself

Led by an experienced rock climber

$28.00 · 60 min

You join for the whole block, so it isn't a class you drop into. Register your interest on the timetable and we'll email you before the next block starts.

Gripswich Geckos

8–12 years Book class by class

Gripswich Geckos is a fun, interactive class where kids learn to climb while they're far too busy enjoying it to notice they're learning. Every session mixes climbing with problem-solving and games, so they finish worn out, pleased with themselves, and asking when they can come back.

What you’ll learn

  • How to climb — and how to keep getting better at it
  • Problem solving, one route at a time
  • Staying active and fit without it feeling like exercise
  • Making friends with other kids who climb

Led by an experienced climber

$28.00 · 60 min

Classes run in 10-week blocks, but there's no commitment — book your child in for a single class whenever it suits.

Missing a class. If you can't make it, please cancel at least 2 hours before it starts — that's long enough for us to offer the spot to someone else, and it costs you nothing. Cancel later than that and we'll let the first one go; after that a $10 fee applies. If you're booked in and simply don't turn up, the $10 applies straight away — it covers the coach and the place we held for you. Genuinely stuck? Tell us and we'll sort it out.

Classes Next Season

This season’s 10-week block finishes this week. We’re planning the next one now — tell us what would suit you and we’ll email you the dates as soon as they’re set.

Nothing here books or charges anything. It puts you on the list to hear first, and it tells us which nights and times to run — which is genuinely what decides the timetable.

Takes about thirty seconds. We’ll only use your details to tell you about classes.
